Musée du Louvre x UNIQLO Collection
In early 2021, the Japanese brand commenced a four-year partnership agreement with Musée du Louvre, conducting various initiatives allowing people around the world to feel more closely connected to art. The first UT collection, featuring motifs based on historical masterpieces from the iconic French museum, was launched in February, and in May, UNIQLO began supporting the "Mini Discovery Tour," an educational program launched by the Museum earlier last year. These initiatives are completed by the new UNIQLO RIVOLI store where they also plan to hold special exhibits and workshops in collaboration with the Louvre. The new space provides visitors with the opportunity to easily engage with art in the very heart of Paris.
Musée du Louvre UT Collection launches a new product line showcasing historical masterpieces with the well-known UNIQLO UT collection charm. Indeed, this collection continues the successful and popular partnership, showcasing historical masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, using sophisticated graphics that are characteristic of UT(UNIQLO T-shirt). The collection launched at UNIQLO RIVOLI, the new store, in the same Paris district as the Louvre and rolled out globally soon after. The Women's line features works such as Grande Odalisque, and Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss elevated with a collage of floral motifs, with the Men's line focused on the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory of Samothrace, and Venus de Milo. The newest iteration of the initiative has also added four tote bag designs to the collection to colour everyday life with art.
The new UNIQLO RIVOLI is a large-scale store that opened on September 16, 2021, occupying 2,000m2 over four floors. Located on Rue de Rivoli, near the Musée du Louvre, the store is designed to present a fusion of fashion and culture and will be the first UNIQLO store in France that has a special corner for the UT collection. The store will also host art exhibits and workshops in collaboration with the Louvre, offering a range of art-related customer experiences.
