Packing Tips

Packing for Vienna, Austria

Vienna’s many art galleries and concept stores make it easy to be sartorially inspired—especially in the summer, when urbanites come out to play. Take a walk through the MuseumsQuartier and you’ll see fashionable locals gathering in droves. Temperatures during June, July and August can soar to upwards of 30 degrees Celsius, so light and airy cotton outfits become somewhat of a uniform. Packing for Vienna, Here & There Magazine’s co-founders chose items well-suited for city exploring and gallery hopping: colourful dresses, sporty essentials and natural skincare products to beat jet lag and fatigue. Take a look at our must-haves for traversing Austria’s cultural capital in style.

“I really like the print and colours of this Margot by Loren skirt. I can pair it with a plain, baggy t-shirt and my boots and feel stylish and comfortable for our busy workdays!” – Aleyah

“I love this vibrant dress by Margot by Loren. The structured shoulders give it an architectural look and it’s 100% cotton, so very breathable. The artisanal made-in-Mexico quality makes it feel extra special.” – Julia

“The retro tear-shape of the Raen's Potrero sunglasses instantly caught my eye. I love the tortoise finish and gold detailing. I’m glad I packed these, because I ended up wearing them everyday.” – Julia

“I really like these rose gold wire Raen sunnies! In the summer, I always prefer wearing metal frames as they go with everything, are lightweight and perfect for long days in the heat – they don’t slide off your face!” – Aleyah

“I love wearing white in the summer. This mesh long skirt and top by Bench pairs well with sporty shoes, making it ideal for active days. It’s nice to feel covered up without the appearance of something heavy."

“Travelling from North America to Europe, I’m always looking to recover from jet lag in the most natural way possible. Saje Wellness’ Travel Safe kit is a lifesaver. Long-haul flights always dry out my skin, so I love having Dr. Roebuck’s Pure and Face moisturizers from their Healthy Skin Pack in my carry-on. If I’m a little tired, I’ll add a touch of Benefit’s GALifornia pink blush to my beauty routine. It instantly wakes up my face!” – Julia
